Dynamic Sites

Web sites consist of static and dynamic web presentation, and Zonegig Design can assist you with both.

Think of static sites as similar to a brochure. The content is carefully written and placed into the web site. Content changes are submitted to us and we can craft additional pages to add to your web site, usually within a day or two depending on how busy we are.

We can construct dynamic web sites to put you in control. Zonegig Design will design your sites page templates and design the associated graphics files that represent the front end of your site. We then will build the backend using a content management system that offers forms and menus that let you add, edit and delete your sites information. Your content is stored in a database. When your customers visit your site the content is pulled from the database "dynamically" and displayed. The web site you are visiting is a dynamic site.

So, the question becomes which is right for your firm, static or dynamic?

It was not that very long ago that only large companies would utilize dynamic sites. The complexity involved and initial expense were too costly for smaller firms.?

Now, even small company's would like dynamic sites? these days. Why? A variety of reasons:

Zonegig Design is and will always be committed to using Open Source technology. What that means is that we develop Web sites using languages and techniques that are developed and shared openly. There are no costly and restrictive licensing arrangements. No single third-party entity can have an effect on our programming environment. We have the right to use it freely and openly without being tied down.

Currently, we use PHP server-side scripting and MySQL databases. To manage the content on that technology base we utilize the Joomla! Content Managment System. This combination of technologies provides the most open, robust and widely supported combination of technology. You will be able to move your site from one hosting provider to another fairly easily. Almost all hosting providers support these technologies in their service offering. Should you find a need to have someone else to support your site, it will be simple for other firms to come up to speed?since your site is utilzing these open standards technologies.

We may also utilize small amounts of JavaScript to enhance the user experience.
